OSA House and Sports Complex
In 2005 OSA purchased a residential lot in the Las Lomas zone of Collique. Extensive renovation and modernization of the existing house was completed in 2006. The ground floor of OSA House has two meeting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and bathrooms with running water. The second floor has been remodeled to serve as an apartment for full time staff or missionaries. The apartment has a living area, two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom facilities. OSA house conforms to local building codes and may be expanded to include additional meeting rooms and a third floor. OSA House is the center of operation for our day to day ministries in Collique. For example, OSA House is being used for a daily program of “Bread of Life.” This program is attended by 50 children ages 5 to 8 each week day. The children receive tutoring help with their school work, religious education, recreation, crafts, and a nutritious snack each day. In 2006, OSA was granted permission to construct a “sports complex” on property behind OSA House that is owned by the Jose Galvito pre-school. This complex includes a concrete sports court, changing rooms, bathroom facilities, showers and a landscaped plaza with a park-like atmosphere for community social events. Team sports and recreation are providing wholesome outlets for teens and younger children who might otherwise become involved with drugs or other destructive behavior.
