Janice Anderson was born in Texas and moved with her parents to Houston at age 10. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Texas at Austin where she met her future husband Bill. She graduated with a degree in Spanish followed by a master’s degree in library and information science from Florida State University. In 1985 she founded an information/data management services firm from which she retired at the end of 2014. For the last 35 years Janice has served on various committees and boards for her church, professional associations and not-for-profit organizations, including Operación San Andrés. Janice and Bill have two grown sons and seven grandchildren.
