Luis Campos is a native of Peru, where he attended Colegio San Andrés, a Free Church of Scotland missionary school. It was there that he first felt a calling to minister to the forgotten and marginalized. Dr. Campos fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor by studying medicine at Edinburgh University. Luis and Ruth met in Scotland where they were married. After his graduation, they moved to the USA for Luis’ post-graduate training. Dr. Campos retired in 2018 after an illustrious 40+ year career as a cardiologist in Houston, Texas, USA. The Campos family participated in mission trips to Mexico and Peru prior to founding Operación San Andrés in 2003. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
