Operación San Andrés
In June 2019, approximately 20 high school students and their adult sponsors traveled to the Operación San Andrés mission site in Collique, Lima, Peru. Most of these students were members of the South Main Baptist Church youth group in Houston, Texas, USA. Prior to the mission trip, the students had prepared educational presentations which they presented to children at our mission site. While at the mission site, they also played games, taught crafts, and led in music activities. Other students completed painting and other work projects in the community. While only some of the students spoke Spanish, all of them were able to share the universal language of laughter and love.
