During the fourth quarter of 2025, Operación San Andrés (OSA) entered into a cooperative agreement with the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA-PERU), a global humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. ADRA’s goal “To serve humanity so all may live as God intended” is well aligned with OSA’s mission “To alleviate the effects of poverty in Peru by transforming families through the love of Christ.”
With this partnership, OSA and ADRA-PERU will join forces to bring relief in areas such as:
- Health, Food Security and Nutrition
- Microfinance, Livelihoods and Productive Development
- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
- Childhood Education and Protection
An initial achievement from this cooperative agreement came about in February 2026 when the ADRA-PERU Food Bank donated three tons of yogurt to OSA. In turn, OSA delivered 288 units of yogurt to each of the 64 soup kitchens in Collique supported by Operación San Andrés. OSA has been providing non-perishable food items such as beans, rice, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil to many of these soup kitchens since the global pandemic of 2020.
With this framework agreement in place, OSA and ADRA-PERU anticipate an ongoing relationship aimed at improving the quality of life and overcoming the spiritual and material poverty in Collique and similar marginalized populations.
