More than 50 families enjoyed an outstanding theater presentation featuring children from the Operación San Andrés Educational Enrichment Program. The children demonstrated their accomplishments and the progress they have made throughout the year. Under the direction of Ricardo Lara, our theater teacher, about 60 children presented dances, plays, songs, and speeches in front of parents and relatives, who became emotional seeing their little kids show so much talent.

The theater program is a wonderful strategy to develop communication abilities, improve self-esteem, build confidence, and increase social abilities in the children who attend the Educational Enrichment Program.

Children perform a traditional song at the Operación San Andrés performance

"Look at Piero," said Jacinta, grandmother of eight-year-old Piero. "When he came to Operación San Andrés, he was so shy and introverted. He could not even speak in front of others. But now I can see him acting and performing so animatedly. I have no words but to give thanks to God and Operación San Andrés for this wonderful change."
